This weekend is the Global Game Jam 2016!
In this episode I interview Andy Gentile and Todd Wahoske, both of whom worked on the mobile game “Epic Skater”
Andy and Todd came to indie game development after working at a major studio, and they shared with me their interesting journey on how this game was created.

We did a basic tutorial of Unity 5 game development, as well as how to use the Kinect as the Controller for your Unity 5 game.
We put versions of both of those talks on Channel 9. So if you’d like a basic overview of Unity 5, or want to know more about using the Kinect with your Unity 5 project, check out these videos! Continue reading New training videos for Unity 5 and the Kinect
Hey everyone! This episode of Be Indie Now has been a long time coming. I recorded it many months ago, before my daughter was born. However, I did not have time to put the episode together before the big day. Since then I had taken a break and not been able to keep releasing updates at the pace I did before.
Have no fear though, Be Indie Now is back! Starting with this “almost lost” episode where I interview Will Hellwarth from Goodbyeworld Games.
This will be the last episode of 2015. If you are interested in being a guest on the show in 2016, let me know!
I’m back to Evangelism after taking a break from work for a couple of months due to the birth of my child.
If you are annoyed by posts of baby pictures: I am sorry. I will try to keep it to a minimum!
First thing I want to note is, my URL has changed! Which, if you’re reading this, you might have already noticed…
I am no longer Tobiah Marks. My name is now Tobiah Zarlez!
- This website is now TobiahZ.com!
- My twitter is now @TobiahZarlez
- Many of my other accounts have changed, check out the social bar located on the left (or top) of the page.
Please update your bookmarks accordingly. Also, let me know if you find any stray links or 404’s. In theory though, everything should forward nicely!
Secondly, I want to let you all know that I have updated my Visual Studio Code Ultimate Guide with some new information. The integration with Unity is now even better!
If you’re interesting in checking out (or taking a second look) at Visual Studio Code, take a look: http://www.tobiahz.com/2015/05/visual-studio-code/
I look forward to getting back into posting onto this blog again. Talk to you all soon!
